Perpetual change. Despite continuous transformation, Duisburg has remained true to its roots. Elisabeth Freese has also remained true to cantaloop following her studies as media designer and will continue her innovative and creative work for our team and for Duisburg.

Set your sights high. The port is a bood example of how one can transform local conditions into an economic success factor (in this case geographical). A concept which Managing Director Tom Hoffmann transfers to many other spheres.

Creative upstart. Having completed her studies at the Mediadesign Hochschule Düsseldorf (Media Design School Dusseldorf) as well as a 1.5 year apprenticeship at cantaloop, Junior Art Director Ricarda Koller is now a full team member. Not only does she appreciate the agency's interdisciplinary approach but she also values the creative exchange with her design colleagues.

Creative environment. Our agency is only the proverbial "stones throw" from the Lehmbruck Museum. Consultant Frank Horn, who is inspired by the numerous festivals and internationally reknown stage events in Duisburg, is thankful to be working at such a good address.

Positive development. After 150 years of industrial use, the vast grounds of the derelict industrial site at Duisburg-Hochfeld are being redesigned and landscaped into the Rhine Park. At last the district extends all the way to the river’s edge. Diploma Designer Sarah Fee von Wyl and her dog Kaya think this is excellent.

Culture pure. With its Theater am Marientor (Photo), Mercator Concert Hall and Municipal Theatre, Duisburg boasts a vibrant cultural scene. For Account Manager Kristina Müller-Kobiela, it is precisely the right place to relax after an exhausting presentation.

Just a little bit freaky. Rhine, Ruhr, inland port: "Duisburg is a water town." Therefore, it is not surprising that Junior Art Director Annika Lewin spends part of her free time either in the water, or under it, like in this photo at the Zoo. But even for those who are a bit more water shy, Duisburg offers lots to see and experience.

A football game lasts 90 minutes. By contrast an apprenticeship as management assistant for marketing communications lasts 2.5 years at cantaloop. Apprentice Sören Vogelsang takes it sportingly: "The most important thing is to play in the right league."

Golden Ladder. Team Assistent Annette Weiser loves to spend her lunch breaks strolling through the Duisburg city center. She believes the "Forum Duisburg" project, the Königsgalerie shopping centre and the "Stadtfenster" building – destined to house the city’s library and adult education centre – are all successful examples of inner city development which resonate far beyond the city limits.
